I was five years old when I first visited the Philadelphia Museum of Art.  (way back in 1995).  I remember climbing up hundreds of steps super slowly and then suddenly being surrounded by hundreds of crazy people on roller blades.  My mother was rather nervous about the situation. I remember wondering why they picked this location.  After that day my mother always brought us in the back entrance to the museum, so we wouldn’t be hit by an out-of-control blader.

maybe this is still a popular activity?

I was at the art museum for an Art of India assignment.  I was forced to cross the street and go to the Perelman building to check out a great exhibit on Kantha (embroidered quilts from bengal).  It is a charming but small building that is often neglected by the average museum visitor.  Probably worth a visit if you have mythical free time.

last term we needed some reference photos for our project.  So every morning i would drag myself up to my roof and snap some photos.  I always enjoy this time of day.

Today is the first monday of the term.  I’ve celebrated it by working the 630a shift at the pool then returning to my apartment to lazily drink a cup of coffee and update my blog.  If only every monday morning this term could be so nice.

true to my nature i gave brett a really lame gift for christmas… a pasta maker.   we tested it out the other day.

did i make this?

Because brett was involved we made garlic rosemary pasta and it was declicious, but food is hard to photograph and make it look appatizing.

oh man, free time rules.

at work today i had to deliver some specs and drawings to brookhaven (exit 63 on the LIE!)  Deliveries are the best.  There was lots of gaga to keep me singing along the way.  AND a navigation mistake forced me to go from zero to 70 in a few seconds.  There was lots of burning rubber and lots of street credit earned for myself and the vdub.
