veg chili & cornbread

I made dinner the other night.  I think it came out pretty well.

I made a roux!!!!

And pumpkin pie FROM A PUMPKIN w/ home made crust

and despite brett coming in twice to ask me not to make him sick, and having to roll out the crust with an empty wine bottle, i think the results were rather good.  :)

i’m moving and all i had was eggs and mustard in the fridge.  I think this is a pretty okay meal.

could be worse.  at least i didn’t accidentally grab orange extract or something.

Finally got around to using the nice chopsticks given to me by the Singapore student’s professor.

they don’t look the way they should.  I think they look like little snails.

My mother used to get these radishes from the co-op she joined.  They’re delicious.  a little spicy but so much tastier than your traditional radishes.  I bought these and a bundle of spinach from the santa monica yuppy farmers market and made them into a spectacular salad with probably too nice balsamic vinegar.  It was delicious.
